About the Artist

I am a Massachusetts-based artist working in mixed media painting and narrative illustration. My work explores the multifaceted emotional self through abstract figurative characters that embody themes of rumination, social alienation, and self-consciousness.

In my mixed media paintings, I prioritize feeling over thought. I begin with a loose concept and allow intuition to guide the direction of each piece as it unfolds. Every work becomes a singular manifestation of a specific emotional moment. I am drawn to warm, vibrant color as a way of conveying psychological intensity and internal movement.

My illustrations approach similar themes from a more playful angle. Through hand-drawn scenes that evolve into highly saturated, digitally layered compositions, I create absurd vignettes of beings navigating internal dialogue, social tension, and everyday strangeness. Sometimes these characters represent parts of the psyche in conflict. Sometimes they inhabit imagined worlds that feel surprisingly familiar.

A recurring cast of characters moves throughout my work. They reflect the push and pull between opposing forces within the self (instinct and restraint, expression and observation) often distilled visually into the eye and the mouth.
